INCREASE CORE MUSCLE STRENGTH FOR HEALTHY BODY by yoga practice and workout for get energy for the day




Shalabhasana helps strengthen the hips and lower back muscles apart from toning the buttocks.

 

To begin the Locust pose or Shalabhasana, lie flat on your stomach with your legs together and chin on the floor. With palms facing upwards, interlace your thumbs and place them under the pelvic area. Take a few deep breaths when in this position.

 

Now, as you inhale, raise both the legs together to a minimum of 30 to 45 degrees. Try to increase the angle every day with regular practice. Tighten your buttocks as you do so. Make sure your feet are together and hold them in that position for at least 5-10 seconds.

 

As you exhale, slowly lower your legs and bring them to the floor once again. This one set. Practise at least 10 sets of the pose for best results.

 

Benefits:  Shalabhasana is great for strengthening your hips and lower back muscles apart from toning the buttocks. It also helps gently massage the internal organs of the body and alleviates constipation.
