The Four Vedas are the foundational scriptures of Hinduism, considered as Shruti that guide spiritual life. Each Veda is further divided into four parts like Samhita, Brahmana, Aranyaka, and Upanishad.
1. Rig-Veda: The oldest and most important, Rigveda contains over 1,000 hymns dedicated to deities like Agni, Indra, and Varuna.
2. Yajur-Veda: Known as the "Veda of yajnas," it provides detailed instructions for performing Vedic rituals and yajnas.
3. Sama-Veda: Focused on melodies and chants, Samaveda is the Veda of music and poetry.
4. Atharva-Veda: A blend of spiritual and practical knowledge, it includes hymns, spells, and incantations addressing daily life issues like health, prosperity, and protection from evil.
Together, the Vedas encompass spiritual wisdom, ritual practices, and universal truths for Hinduism.
